Arts & Crafts - Do you enjoy arts and crafts? Occasionally the need arises to make centerpieces, or decorate different areas with handmade decoratoins. Also if you have sewing skills, we need your help! To participate, click here to contact Sondra Karben to see how you can help.

 

Baptism Ministry - Acts 2:38 says, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you..." When people become Christians, they need to be baptized. Our Baptism Ministry Team assists in the process. They help with setting up the rooms to change in and other details that the bapstismal candidates need to take care of before, during and after tiheir baptism. Benevolence Ministry - The dictionary defines benevolence as a "disposition to do good" or "acts of kindness" God wants us to be kind and to do good, so we should all be benevolent people. There are many ways to function in a benevolent manner. Click here to email your ideas to Pastor Paul.

 

Cleaning Ministry - New Hope wants to maintain our facility in the best manner p;ossible. Our main building alone is almost 100.000 square feet! New Hope needs volunteers to help keep our facility clean. Click here to email Dave Overfield for more information.

 

Construction & Maintenance - Do you have trade skills in building, repairs or maintenance? Why not serve in a very practical way by volunteering your time in the area of your skill or trade? Creative Arts Ministry - The Creative Arts Ministry exists to express God's good news through the arts, music and drama. As Godly principles are portrayed in a dramatic manner, barriers caome down, resistance is removed and people grasp the message! It is the goal of New Hope to increasingly use the creative arts as a relevant medium for the Gospel. Creative arts includes acting, scenery, set production, costume design and production. Decorating Ministry - Do you enjoy decorating? If you do, consider volunteering for the Decorating Ministry. We decorate seasonally, remodeling projects, painting, wall papering, and decorate for special events. If you would like to serve, click here to email Carol Wilcox.

 

Food & Kitchen Ministry - Do you enjoy cooking for special events? The Food & Kitchen Team do most of their food preparation in the church's kitchen. They prepare food for banquets, minister's meetings and special events both large and small. If you enjoy working in a team and would like to help with food preparation, click here to email Julia Eng.

 

Food Pantry Ministry - The New Hope Food Pantry exists first to serve those in the New Hope family that are in need and secondly to serve those in need that our New Hope family members are in contact with. Greeting Team Ministry - The mission of the New Hope Greeing Team is to warmly and cheerfully welcome new guests, help them sign our guest register and negotiate their way around our facility. This important role must be filled with cheeful, sincere and outgoing people who realize that greeting is the first step toward someone finding hope in Christ! "Helps" Ministry - The mission of the "Helps" Ministry is to provide emergency meals and baby sitting for people experiencing an emergency situation. If a tragedy or crisis situation occurs and a family find they must be at the hospital for a long time, "Helps" would provide meals and other necessary services on an emergency basis. this could involve meal preparation at your home or child care at their home. Those who are a part of the "Helps" team find that they meet a tremendous need and they receive a great deal of satisfaction. Click here to email Joyce Minard.

 

K.I.D.S Xtreme - If you love children and would like to help shape the lives of kids, we have a place for you! K.I.D.S. Xtreme is for kids ages 3 through 6th grade and occurs every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8:30pm. Click here to email Linda Westmorland to find out how you can help.

 

Media Arts - Because our society is so "media aware," New Hope is committed to being on the cutting edge with the media used in presenting the Gospel. Media Ministry includes the operation of digital video cameras, sound equipment, lighting, editing and production equipment used in the public presentation of the Gospel. Men of Faith - Men of Faith meet on the last Friday of each month. We conduct Bible teaching times, go to ball games, go bowling and encourage the men of New Hope to establish deep and lasting relationships with God and one another. Volunteers help to gather names and collect registrations for men's events such as Promise Keepers or retreats. New People Ministry - New People Ministry makes sure guests of New Hope feel welcome and are given oppurtunity in the weeks following their visit to know that New Hope is a place where they can feel at home! Guests are sent a welcome letter from the Pastor, delivered a gift that says "Thanks for coming" and followed up with a series of communiques to make sure those looking for a church home have found one. Nursery Ministry - New Hope has a fantastic, recently remodeled, state of the art, nursery for infants from birth age through 2 years. We need loving, caring helpers to care for our littlest ones. Parents of nursery age children are expected to volulnteer their help on a rotating basis. The nursery is a tremendous place to serve! Office Assistance - Those who help in the office assistance ministy volunteer on an "as needed" basis for special projects such as bulk mailing, data entry projects, etc. It is our desire and goal to do what we do with excellence, so if you are a person who enjoys helping with office work and have computer and office skills, click here to email Linda Westmorland to see how you can help.

 

Promise Land - Promise Land is for kids ages 3 through 6th grade and occurs every Sudnay morning during the service. The Promise land Team is committed to making Sunday the best day of our kids lives through relevant lessons about Jesus. The team works together creatively using story telling, drama, crafts and gmes, to present each lesson. What a tremendous opportunity to make a lasting impact on some of our youngest peple! Second chance - New Hope's "Use it again" Ministry 'Second Chance' facilitates the recycling of good reusable items within the membership of New Hope. A list is published weekly with updated additions of good, reusable items that New Hope partners have and want to pass along to soemone who could use them. Serving communion - Those involved in serving communing volunteer to help on "Communion Sunday" (the first Sunday of each month) or at other times when communion is served. The "Lord's Supper" is one of two sacraments the Church is instruced to administer. (The other is water baptism) Some of those who volunteer also travel to those of our congregation who are "shut in" (unable to attend public services) and serve communion and pray with them. It is a wonderful time. As we serve, our intent is to give, yet many times we find that we receive! If you would like to serve or find out more, click here to email Ron Mundt.

 

Sports Activities - Do you enjoy participating in team sports? MGT has exciting men's and women's softball teams. If you would like to play, click here for contact information. Do you enjoy other sports? We need people who can investigate and coordinate bowling teams, golf tournaments, cycling events, etc. If that sounds like something you would enjoy doing, click here to email George Weckel.

 

Transportation - If you have a desire to help transport seniors, youth and other groups from church activities, this is an opportunity for you to serve. Volunteers will drive vehicles transporting seniors to and from Sunday morning celebrations, youth and other groups to and from camps, special events, and other transportation related opportunities. Urgent Prayer Team - This is one of the most necessary ministries at MGT. We must be able to mobilize people to pray when urgent needs arise! In addition to urgent prayer needs, team members will be encouraged to pray daily for the leadership team and for our public gathering times. As a team member, you will be called upon to pray for urgent needs as they arise and you may also be asked to make a few calls and communicate the currend tneed to others in the team. Ushers - Ushers are the next contact our guests have with MGT after being greeted at one of our entrances. Similar to our Greeting Team, ushers will warmly and cheerfully welcome new guests and help them negotiate their way around our facility. As an usher, you will give positive direction to our guests with a warm and cheerful attitude. You will surve at the direction of the pastoral team and anticipate any needs and prevent disruptions so people can enjoy a good worship experience without being distracted. Women In Touch - Women In Touch meet on the last Friday of each month. We conduct Bible teaching times, take bus trips, and enjoy special presentations and experiences designed just for women. Women wo vollunteer will serve on teams to decorate, organize and facilitate the times spent together.   Worship Team - The Worship Team is a committed group of people who love to worship and serve God. At New Hope we love to 'sing the glory of his name' and 'make his praise glorious!' Our desire is to bring him an offering of praise that is pleasing to him and brings honor and glory to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
